Edible Cocktails

Have you ever taken a jello shot at a college house party? You probably downed them in those oversized mini dixie cups. Now that we're older and more "mature" and "sophisticated," why not glamor it up a bit? The idea of edible cocktails reminds me of a cross between Charlie and the Chocolate Factory's 3-course dinner gumballs and the glass art Chihuly exhibit at the De Young. Think fashion jello shots.

It looks like it's the next big thing at trendy restaurants in LA and Paris. Maybe the next time you have a house party, turn your pad into an LA hot spot and serve these edible cocktails on a fancy silver platter.
